Superficials Third Album: Lights!

Lights is the Superficials third album. Lights is a home recording comprised of 11 Paul-penned songs. Plans for Lights were initially modest, the collection intended primarily for demo purposes. This changed, however, when the group met Jim Lightman, who offered to lend his well-known ears to the project. With Jim’s direction and engineering skills, Lights developed into an entirely different kind of monster. Lights is a manufactured and commercially released album like Yearbook, and it’s full of terrific, hot tracks.

Superficials Second Album: Berry Hill Bungalow
Berry Hill Bungalow
Berry Hill Bungalow is the Superficials’ sophmore outing. In the winter of 2005-2006, the Superficials began recording a demo of new songs on borrowed equipment in the 1940’s Bungalow they were living in. After a while, the project ballooned into a serious endevour, with the help of producer Joe Kuhlmann from Charlotte, North Carolina, and Matt Coble and Dean Carroll from Nashville.
Amplifier Magazine says:
“The Superficials put together a charming not-so-lo-fi album. “Somehow” a plaintive love song, is as strong as any pop/rock song you’ll hear on the radio this year. [With] lots of vocal harmonies and solid musicianship…look for this touring band through the south and midwest.”
IndiePro.com says:“Donning a fun and unique style, Berry Hill Bungalow inspires toe-tappin’ and head-bobbin’ throughout each song. The music is light and happy, with an interesting lyrical arrangement.”Berry Hill Bungalow features 12 all-new, all-original tracks:
- Mermaid
- Fine Line
- Somehow
- The Bellows (for Cecilia C. Jones)
- Written in the Stars
- Rainbows & Roses
- Townie
- Answer Key
- 666-69
- Something Right
- Count on Me
- Rex & Regina
